Manifesting the Kingdom in Our Daily Lives

By Pastor Darryl Woodson

It is true that things are not always as they appear and one thing that looks one way can very well actually be another. In a world such as this, I need clarity to navigate and to walk uprightly. I cannot be mindful of the mundane things in life, what I´ll eat, wear, do for work, I must remember that my Father in heaven supplies my all.
As a Kingdom-minded person, I walk by faith and see every trial and problem as an opportunity to see God´s goodness towards me.

So when the woman saw that the tree was…desirable to make one wise… _Genesis 3:6
But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. _James 3:14

Eve desired the wisdom that the tree would give her. We mustn’t seek the wisdom of the world because it is deceptive but seek after the wisdom that comes from God above. The wisdom of the world seeks to please self but the wisdom from God is self-seeking. Colossians 3:9, Romans 8:6-8.

In the Kingdom arena model, there we have the home arena, the public arena and the work/school arena. In each one of these, I have more than a few opportunities to manifest the Kingdom of God every single day.
In the home arena, by being peaceable with the people I live with, I have great opportunity to manifest the Fruit of the Spirit.
When I reach out and pray for a sick person by laying on of hands in a taxi, this is the public arena, and I am blessed when I manifest the various gifts of the Spirit.

Like Daniel, I don’t have to be the boss to take and bring godly rulership to any one of the 7 cultural mountains of society. Daniel 2:48. It is not up to me what happens when I release the Kingdom of God, it is up to the King Himself but He requires me to go out and be His instrument.
And so the question is, am I blooming where I am planted? Are you flourishing where you are?
