Living as Kings and Priests unto the Lord

By Pastor Lorraine Woodson

…to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. _John 1:12

…just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world… _Ephesians 1:4

Sometimes growing up, the spirit of rejection can be born in a person´s life because they were told that they were conceived by mistake, none of us in fact was born as a mistake. The Almighty God chose us in Jesus Christ before time. As kings and priests unto God the Father, we are called to greater things! Revelation1:6, 5:10

As a king, I am called to;
       1. Rule, conquer and have dominion.
       2. Wrestle against enemies.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood… _Ephesians 6:12
       3. Live by grace. Romans 6:14

To live effectively as we have been called, we need to know and understand the position that God has called us to. We must understand the principles by which the kingdom of heaven is run. John 10:10

Jesus came that we may have life, and have it more abundantly. Doesn´t this mean the enemy comes to steal life, to kill life and to destroy life? Indeed, yet if Christ really makes His abode in me, I should be the vessel to bring the life He promises to earth and everywhere around me.
I do not pray that You should take them out of the world,…As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world… _John 17:15-17

Our priestly calling is in the world and I am called to minister my sacred calling herein. Always remembering that in the end, we are not judged by what we attained, but by our faithfulness. Matthew 25:21

We are to exert our priestly role in every place that we are for godly influence to be realized. Yet what does it look like for me to do influence the world me for God? Isn’t it so well exemplified in Joseph that was a leader in Egypt and saved Israel during the famine, or Mordecai that taught Esther in the ways of the Lord in preparation for her queenly position, even in the slave maid that influenced the queen and in turn the king in 2 Kings 5:1-27?
May we seek out our priestly calling in all situations in life, taking those of old as an example.
