Genesis
1:11_Then
God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the
fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in in itself,
on the earth”, and it was so.
Genesis
1:26-27_Then
God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;…So God
created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him;…
God
created man in His image and likeness and He had a purpose for this. The nature
in which God created man is in His own. Adam and Eve where created in this
nature but with the eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil brought
the nature of sin to man.
John
1:12-13_But
as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God,
to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will
of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Man
has got an opportunity to be born of God and back into God’s nature and this is
by receiving Him, God, and to believe in His name. But since we have this
redemption, why does man seem to be ‘pushed’ back to his old nature.
In
order for us to live in the God nature, we have to crucify our flesh and
everything likened to it. To live and put on the new man is to live renewed in
knowledge according to the image of God. When we have things and situations
happen around us, how we react to them signifies and shows a lot about the
nature we are living from and in. Whether we react in panic, or confusion, or
anxiety or in faith, in peace and in stillness shows a lot.
Romans
8:1_There
is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not
walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
James 1:22-25. Being doers of the Word makes us
live in the God nature. Blessing people around us is one of the ways we live in
this nature. If we read and hear of the Word saying that we are blessed and we
do not go out and do by blessing others, we deceive ourselves.
Galatians
3:29_And
if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the
promise.
Genesis
12:2_I
will make you a great nation; I will bless you…you shall be a blessing.
Because
we are heirs according to the promise, being that we are Christ’s and thus
Abraham’s seed, we are blessed…to be a blessing to others! 2nd Corinthians 5:17
Then
how is it then that we turn again to the weak and beggarly elements? Galatians 4:9
But
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us.
Galatians 3:13-14
Yet
when we have a mindset that is purposed to bless ours around us, we live as
different people and as a blessing to many that we meet. And it is by an
anointing from the Father and the Spirit of the Lord upon us that we preach the
Gospel, the brokenhearted are healed, proclaim liberty to the captives…Luke 4:18-19
We don’t give to be a blessing, we give because we are a blessing. And
this is how we glorify our Father in heaven, living as He commands us.
