Corinthians 2:9_But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them
that love him.

Corinthians 2:12_Now
we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God;
that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Philippians
3:12-14_Not as though I had already
attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if indeed I may
apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren,
I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting
those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are
before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus.
Isaiah
43:18-19_Remember
not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold,
I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will
even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

John 2:20_But
you have an unction from the Holy One, and you know all things.
Every
time there is a change of season very many things change with it and for them
that love God, He has prepared great things that even they have not conceived.
Get ready for the great in 2014! Let us not live in 2014 as we did in 2013. There
are things we have not known that God has prepared for us, things He has given
freely to us. Let us press on to know what God has in store for us. We are
beckoned in Isaiah 43 on this matter of the new and former things; shall we not
know the new thing? The Lord says He is making roads in the wilderness and
rivers in the desert, even the deserts of our lives!
2014
is a prophetic year, an anointed year, appointed for us to walk in and showcase
God’s Glory, to walk in His anointing and favour, to manifest His Light.
But
a question is posed to every believer, will 2014 avail to you or will you avail
yourself to the New Year?
God
has given us His Spirit and we know all things so we can tell of the things
that have not yet come; thus we do not walk as the blind but we walk where we
have seen in the spirit.
A
picture of 2014 is herein painted;
Isaiah
55:12_For
you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the
hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field
shall clap their hands.
We
have been anointed for 2014 and any challenges that are coming, any
difficulties, we have overcome. We will go out and need to usher in the New
Year with joy and be led forth with peace. Let us choose to live by the Word of
God and not by the ways of the world, its standards and the status quo. All our
competence is in the Lord! Let us understand that we can live in the fullness
of what God has prepared for us, in prosperity and good health. Even when the
challenges come, it is very important how we react and face them, either in
fear, or in faith in the greater One inside of us.
Here
are but 4 of the many things you can do to get yourself ready for the year
2014;
1. Get
ready to stand against the counsel of the ungodly.
The counsel of the ungodly is the spirit
that opposes your faith and what you believe. The spirit that wants to rob your
inheritance; to get your trust away from God. This counsel is not rooted in the
truth. Let us not listen to what the ungodly sow in our lives.
Proverbs 1:10_My son, if sinners entice you,
consent not.
Proverbs
1:15-16_My
son, walk not in the way with them; refrain your foot from their path: For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
2. Get
ready to stand in the counsel of His Law.
Psalm 1:2_But his delight is in the law of
the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night.
When you stand in the counsel of the
Lord, you disqualify the counsel of the ungodly. Sometimes we have accepted the
counsel of the ungodly simply because we do not know the counsel of God’s law
and the truth thereof. For example if you know, by the counsel of His law, that
you are healed by His stripes, how can an ungodly man tell you of your sickness
and failure to be healed?
So in the year 2014, we want to stand in
this perfect law of liberty. We need to come to a place of meditating on the
law day and night.
Joshua 1:8_This book of the law shall not
depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that
you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you
shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
We see this wisdom through many places
in the Bible, more so in Psalm 119ff. Let us stay in the Word
day and night, meditating and delighting in it.
James 1:22-25_But be you doers of the word, and
not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a
hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural
face in a mirror: For he beholds himself, and goes his
way, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. But
whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues in it, he being
not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in
his deed.
Let us put in action all that we find in
the Word of God, for He is faithful who promises.
Jeremiah
17:7-8_Blessed
is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For
he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out its roots by
the river, and shall not fear when the heat comes, but its leaf shall be green;
and shall not be anxious in the year of drought, neither shall cease from
yielding fruit.
3. Get
ready to abide in Christ.
Psalm 1:3_ And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season; his
leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.
John 15:1-4_I am the true vine, and my Father
is the vine dresser. 2 Every branch in me that
bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he prunes it,
that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now
you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot
bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you
abide in me.
Do we have a deep relationship with
Christ, do we commune.
Galatians 3:26-27_For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been
baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Colossians
3:1-3_If
you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ
sits on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things
above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead, and
your life is hid with Christ in God.
4. Get
ready to oppose the orphan spirit and live as the son of God.
The orphan spirit is a binding spirit. In
Luke 15:25-32, the older son lived
with an orphan spirit and did not know what he had with his father. With an
orphan spirit, you live a lonely life, walk in self-pity and seek attention
from people of whose you should have no need. The older son lived as a servant
and not a son.
The orphan spirit associates itself with
selfishness, with murmuring and complaining. It associates itself with tears
and regrets, regrets of why your yesterday was not good.
In John
14:1, when the Lord Jesus Christ perceived an orphan spirit in His
disciples, He comforted them. He had perceived a spirit of loneliness and in
verse 18, He assures them He would not leave them and that He would come to
them.
Failure to cultivate a proper
relationship with the Holy Spirit brings about the orphan spirit.
John 1:12_But as many as received him, to
them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on
his name:
We are sons and whatever we ask of the Father, He
will do it for us. Galatians 4
speaks of maturity as sons of God and we need to run with this revelation in
the year 2014.
