A JESUS YOU CAN
SEE
By Pastor Darryl Woodson
Ps 67:2: That Your way may be known
on earth, Your salvation among all nations (NKJV)
1Jn 4:12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us
and his love is made complete in us (NIV)
The lord’s
salvation is intended to reach the entire world. You reach a generation through
discipleship. You reach a generation one person at a time. You do not need
finances to send the people or plant a church. The disciples were sent by faith
not by finance. The churches might be planted by people who may not seem so
qualified. Planting churches may require you to change mindset and think
differently. It is going to require a paradigm shift.
Sometimes people need a Jesus
they can see. They need a Jesus with skin. We are His feet and mouth and hands
to reach the world. Our success is depended on many factors and one of them is
discipleship. 1Jn 3:16-18 This is how we know what love
is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has
material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how
can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or
tongue but with actions and in truth (NIV)
This generation is
becoming increasingly isolated. There are few or no friends at all. God’s plan
is not that we be isolated but rather that we be involved in each other’s
lives. We need to step out of our own role and be involved in other people’s
lives.
Isa 58:7 Is it not to share your food with the
hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter — when you see the naked,
to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? (NIV)
