A Prophetic Generation (Highlights)

A PROPHETIC GENERATION
By Ps Darryl Woodson

Without prophetic vision, people run wild, but blessed are those who follow God’s commands.  Pro 29:18 (GW)

I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first. Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.  I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.  So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. (Rev 2:19-22) NIV

Before the Lord returns there is going to arise a generation that understands the times; this is going to be a generation that sees ahead. They will cry out like John the Baptist, “Prepare the way, Jesus is coming.” When people do not have or see a hope and a future for them, even physically they begin to deteriorate.
Even though the church mentioned above was doing quite well, it was tolerating the Jezebel spirit. She was teaching a compromise grace message to the Church. The Jezebel spirit is a deceptive spirit that will find its way into the church in a seductive manner. The Lord promises to pass judgment for sexual immorality with illness. There is a new strain of Gonorrhea that is resistant to antibiotics for instance, besides a rampant rise of STDs.
God’s remedy against diseases due to sexual immorality is living within the boundaries of God’s commands. There is another remedy for those who for instance were faithful and their partner brought in the infection or their parents passed it on to them– they can claim the Lord’s healing through the blood of the Lamb.
For those who overcome he promises rewards:
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, TO HIM WILL I GIVE POWER OVER THE NATIONS:  And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.  And I WILL GIVE HIM THE MORNING STAR (Rev 2:26-28) KJV

The prophetic generation has a different angle of prayer. They make decrees being certain and assured of the Lord’s promises.
