Words can’t describe the joys that flooded grand mom’s faces, delight on every child as they all received a gift this Christmas carnival, youth bouncing off with gratitude as they each walked away with a heap of clothes just to spice up their Christmas.
I am reminded of song by Kenny Chesney ‘Christmas shoes.’ It talks about what Christmas is all about reaching out; when we take that step of faith and reach out to the world around us, then the true light of Jesus will shine through us. The bible says, ‘Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.’ (Matthew 5:16 KJV)
It is such acts of kindness and love that will shine forth to the world around us. Our good acts may be the only message that some of the people in our community may understand about who God is?
I can’t explain how I felt seeing all those hundreds of people gathering to receive the carnival gifts and their expressions after, that’s the joy of giving. Many of us gave out of our best and the reward was the joys of others.
Let me take this pleasure on behalf of the Victory City Church Ntinda Management team to thank all our volunteers and every one who added a lot to this years Christmas carnival. May God richly bless you as you have blessed his people?
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. (Hebrews 6:10 KJV)
From the Senior Pastor and Family to the Staff Of VCC Ntinda, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy, blessed 2012, a year to enter into the glory of God. God abundantly bless you.
